Livable Communities

Livability conditions impact all aspects of a person’s well-being from public safety, environmental quality, community cohesion, aesthetics, accessibility, and food access. DVRPC’s Livable Communities programs implement the Long Range Plan by working with different stakeholder groups to ensure land use decisions prioritize existing infrastructure, preserve open space and natural resources and enable more efficient provision of water, sewer, and transportation options to achieve a better quality of life for residents.
